bio.

Jonathan’s mother described him as a “spirited child.” Growing up in sunny/sleepy Sequim, Jonathan found an outlet for his “spirited-ness” through sports, and any and everything that could occupy his ever-active mind. Hobbies for Jonathan growing up included, but were not limited to, playing baseball, soccer, and basketball, practicing the piano, writing terrible rock songs on his guitar, competing in math challenges, and memorizing the statistics off of every single baseball he could get his hands on.

Upon reaching high school, Jonathan narrowed his sports related focus to baseball, which eventually led to his interest in strength and conditioning. Jonathan began Crossfit in his parent’s garage at the age of 17, after googling “fitness programs” - and he’s been hooked ever since.

Jonathan’s thirst for knowledge and love of physical activity found a perfect synthesis in Jogo, where he can not only train hard, but also think hard about training. He is intensely interested in program design, ideal human movement, and the pursuit and discovery of balanced fitness.
